2006 NEWS
Ben's Tour of British Universities 19th November 2006 Ben is currently doing a tour of British unis signing photos prior to starting his pantomime performances at Marlowe Theatre on 30th November.
He was at Loughborough University last Friday (17 Nov) and next Friday (24 Nov) he will be at the Univeristy of Warwick for RAG Week 2006.

Neighbours.com Relaunched 19th November 2006 Neighbours.com, the official Neighbours site, was relaunched a few weeks ago. This follows the mothballing of the BBCi Neighbours site a few months ago.
The revamped neighbours.com is divided into an Aussie and British sections. It contains details about up & coming and recent episodes, character profiles and official pictures and video clips. It isn't as extensive as the BBCi site was but something is better than nothing.

Ben's Leaving Neighbours 24th October 2006 After days of rumours and counter-rumours the Sunday Herald Sun has confirmed that Ben will be leaving Neighbours at the end of next month. He will then come to the UK to do panto (see below) before doing some travelling. Ben's final episode will be aired sometime in April in Oz and in July in the UK.
This news will come as a devastating blow to Ben's many fans. We all knew that someone as talented as Ben wouldn't stay on Neighbours forever but nevertheless this is still a shock. We should have known when we heard that he was coming to the UK to do panto for TWO MONTHS.
The paper also confirms that Damien Bodie will be leaving Neighbours next month. Ramsay Street just won't be the same without the Timmins brothers. Ben and Damien's departure is part of a major cull of Neighbours characters coming up in the next few months.
We wish Ben and Damien all the best for the future and hopefully we will see them on the screen, small or large, soon.

Jack & the Beanstalk 29th August 2006 Marlowe Theatre have now confirmed that Ben will be appearing in Jack & the Beanstalk. Ben will, not surprisingly, be playing Jack (he'd be an odd looking giant). Visit the theatre's website for further details including how to book tickets.

Ben's Coming to the UK! 9th July 2006 The wishes of many of you have come true: Ben's coming to the UK! According to neighboursfans.com Ben will be doing panto this winter here in the UK. He will performing in Jack & the Beanstalk at the Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury, between Thursday 30th November 2006 and Sunday 21st January 2007.
The theatre's website confirms that the production will take place but does not provide details of the cast.
Expect to see Stingray "go to study camp" sometime between April and June next year.

Logie 2006 18th February 2006 Ben has received the initial nomination for the 2006 Silver Logie in the "Most Popular Actor" category. Readers of the TV Week magazine in Australia will now vote to see who goes on to the final shortlist of nominations. You can vote for Ben here.
The final nominees in each of the categories will be announced at the 50 Years Of Television Exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney on Monday 3rd April.
The awards will be held on Sunday 7th May at Melbourne's Crown Entertainment Complex and will be broadcast on the Nine Network in Australia.
