Stingray's Awful Week "Erinsborough News", BBCi, 16th October 2004
Stingray Timmins has had some bad periods in his young life, but you can't get much worse than what he went through this week.
First he lost Connor's baby daughter Maddy when he decided to go skating instead of babysit - and then he stole David's car to run away from Ramsay Street forever!
Ben Nicholas, who plays Stingray, tried to explain what was going through Stingray's mind that week.
"He just wanted to babysit Maddy, because he knew Connor was under a lot of stress, and Stingray wanted to help. But Connor knows that Stingray was not the most responsible person so he said no," Ben said.
"While he's off having a skate with Maddy, some people find the baby and take her to the Police Station because they assume the baby wasn't being looked after by the skateboarders, Stingray calls Stuart and the cops, and absolutely flips out."
When asked what was it like for Stingray when he had to own up to what he did, Ben answered,
"Stingray was pretty selfish at that point - he was worried about the baby but he's worried about himself too. Was he going to be sent back to Colac? He was scared," Ben said.
"That's pretty typical of Stingray, he gets in unusual situations and in a lot of trouble. He means well but he's got a pretty short attention span, as soon as he sees a skateboard he'll forget about what he was doing."
One thing is clear - you can't just lose a baby and steal a car without any consequences.
